following on from the earlier thread about how important it is to keep a damped crank pulley on an engine if it came with one.
i've just done a 2l AGG conversion into my mk 2 and used the original alternator/powersteering pump/waterpump. which meant i removed the poly-v damper pulley from the crank and used my original v-belt pulley from the old engine (undamped).
having read the earlier thread i'm now worried about busting my crank in true paranoid style. can anyone let me know a part number for a damper pulley with a simple v-belt design? i'm sure my last mk2 had one on it.. or is the frequency of resonance it's designed to counteract engine-specific? any help appreciated, before i find out the hard way..
