HI All Hopefully If all goes to plan, today I will be the owner of a late spec Mk2 Golf GTI 1.8 8 Valve 3 door finished in schwarz black (will confirm this). That's the good news, bad news it's been off road since 2008 (dry stored for 8-9 years then undercover for 2 years). Car is complete and will need at very least an extensive strip down and overhaul refurb/repair/replace. I am under no illusions as to what I have bought(at a very good price), but always wanted to own a 3 door mk2. I have owned many Vw's in past. Golf GTis(mk1 campaign and x2 cabriolets,mk2 5 door), corrados(G60sx2), polos (MK1x2,mk2 GT,mk3 1.6 Gl) and have always maintained all my cars, so I'll be doing the majority of the work. I will appreciate any constructive advice, in hopefully, returning this classic back to the open road. Thanks Steve
