rocco tank and mk1

is the fuel tank the same in mk1/scirocco or cabrio injection cars, been offered a scirocco kjet but tank is rubbish.
found a mk1 cabrio locally

 

The tanks changed in about 1984 with the change from full size spare wheel to spacesaver. Cars of the same age should have compatible tanks. A 2nd hand tank shouldn't be hard to find.

found a cabrio with a tank in the .original one in the scirocco bloke tried to clean it with water or something

 

I've got 4.5 Sciroccos. 3 Mk2s, 1.5 Mk1s
