This has got to be one of the roughest Mk2 Gti's I have seen for sale on good ol' Ebay!! Not sure what his reserve is but blimey, that is one rusty MK2. Reminds me of my days owning old Alfa Romeos!! Horrible! 'Body quite good for year' - who is he trying to kid?! It's a total rustbucket. Then he goes on to suggest that 172k miles is actually quite low for the year. Wheels, tailgate and bonnet might sell, and then throw the rest away.
Was looking at this today if you look close you can see it has a passenger seat as a driver seat you can see the tilt and that interior is out of a small bumper The thing that shocked me is that people are bidding on it!! Bidding just ended with 205 reserve not met
At least he hasn't tried to hide the rust, some of the ones I've had over the years have only been marginally better
If thats the rust you can see I wonder what its hiding! Thats got breaker written all over it but it still wouldnt be worth that much in bits imo
My front wings are getting like that, although my rears are only slighty rusted. I've bidded on that so I can replace the front wings with mine -
I have seen better in the scrap yard (no exaggeration) Makes me proud to own a virtually rust free 92 driver
being from a sea side part of welsh wales cars do rot a dam site quicker there. still i was amazed how much i have got for taty spares on ebay someone could probably make a few quid breaking it as it is a valver. could get 80 just for its brakes.
