    Hello everyone

I'm building my intake section and i'm doing some research about runner lenghts effects and calculations using some web based calculator, math is great but variables are greater, so experience is better.
My setup is an hydraulic TT cam 288, head ported, 46mm itb and Bmw M3 e46 intake trumpets, total lenght is 47mm..more than i planned, is that too much? Id like to have power from 5500 to 7000rpm, car is track use only.
Calculator is here, but i dont think is that easy to find the right setup.

I personally think as long as possible, that's what I'm going for if I ever get around to it, Have a look at this...

Most of the calculators only take into account the third order pulses which are quite weak, if you can go even longer like over 400mm then you'll also start getting the second order which is much stronger. Obviously there's a limit to what you can actually fit under the bonnet though!

Higher average power is faster, your extra length is fine
