I'm guessing that's possibly a Porsche 928 widened one. Certainly not standard width anyway.

an insane conversation... bear in mind that the 928 back then was maybe a couple years old and cost as much as a 911turbo... so someone decided to splice the two together lol ie getting a nearly brand new 100k+ car and putting a golf body on it haha

    was that by Sbarro?

i used to have an amazing concept car book with this sorta stuff in

there was a rear engined 911turbo mk1/2 at the time also by a company called BB i think

    Exhaust pipes and wheels...

Widened bodied Mk1 - cut down the centre and widened - with 928 underpinnings.

The only quesion is whether that is the original one - made at silly expense, but I forget by who - or a remake.

The bottom half is a 928 chassis, suspension top mounts, everything.

One-off bumpers, bonnet, bootlid and screens.

    Wrapped in Mk1 Golf panels.

Theres a thread about them on here after I posted that video ages ago, few links to magazine articals ect... the price was silly especially as the cars were both new when it was done.
