am i right in thinking that the seat ibiza cupra's have 1.8T's in them, what bhp are they? and has anybody driven one. thinking of selling the cab, i like the look of these but know nowt about them.
they must be pretty rapid though, some one once told me that the ibiza has the same floorpan as the mk2 golf. so im thinking mk2 1.8T with all the mod cons and reliability of a new car. YES/NO.
ye, i thought that aswell. but then they were owned by vw by the time these cars were made. and ive heard the leon cupra r is better built than the golf.
I dont like em, im sorry, and they especially aren't one of us. pffft "golf+" whats all that about. At shows they're all there, looking down on us. All they do is stick things on their cars, bodykits, wheels and exhausts! they have no respect for real cars, like everyones golf's that have been fully restored, years of work, NOT MINUTES!!!!!!!!! grrrrrrr
hmm, i can see what you mean, there was one down the road from me in red, slammed but standard. it was lush. i want newer car, but if i got one id also like a stripped mk1 racer for the weekend. i have decided to sell mine and am just looking at alternatives, it always just comes back to golfs though. thats why ive had 6 of them.
180bhp If you're buying it just for the engine, then don't cos you can easily chip the normal Cupra to get more power. Of course, the spec is different eg extra guages, brakes etc
Ibiza cupraR is pretty much just a normal cupra with a remap from the factory with diff seats (R LOGO),305 brembo brakes and 16' o.z super T's. Edited by: Goldie
Well, Seat Cupra R doesnt mean much, does it? Ibiza cupra R? Leon Cupra R? edit: sh!t, just read his actual post. Edited by: richgit
Cupra R ain't "just like a normal Cupra"; it's worth buying just for the Brembos over the "basic" model.
Yeah nice one. Good attitute I could say to you about VW's "its just a Golf" but i like all VAG cars Edited by: MK1Campaign
