they must be pretty rapid though, some one once told me that the ibiza has the same floorpan as the mk2 golf. so im thinking mk2 1.8T with all the mod cons and reliability of a new car. YES/NO.

I dont like em, im sorry, and they especially aren't one of us. pffft "golf+" whats all that about. [:x]

At shows they're all there, looking down on us. All they do is stick things on their cars, bodykits, wheels and exhausts! they have no respect for real cars, like everyones golf's that have been fully restored, years of work, NOT MINUTES!!!!!!!!! grrrrrrr [:x]

hmm, i can see what you mean, there was one down the road from me in red, slammed but standard. it was lush.
i want newer car, but if i got one id also like a stripped mk1 racer for the weekend.
i have decided to sell mine and am just looking at alternatives, it always just comes back to golfs though. thats why ive had 6 of them.

    150bhp 1.8T arent they?

based on a mk2 Golf floorpan but surely heavier than a mk2 Golf.

    180bhp

If you're buying it just for the engine, then don't cos you can easily chip the normal Cupra to get more power.

Of course, the spec is different eg extra guages, brakes etc

from the factory with diff seats (R LOGO),305 brembo brakes
    and 16' o.z
    super T's.

Cupra R ain't "just like a normal Cupra"; it's worth buying just for the Brembos over the "basic" model.
