I am currently insured with HIC, 1.3 Golf, 20y/o its costing 900 3rd party.

I asked them a few months ago if they would insure me on a 1.8i rocco and they said yes for 1500, so i ring them to ask again now I am 20 (i was 19 at the time of that quote) and they wont insure me :(.

Anyhow, i ring flux yesterday and they quote me 1108 which I thought was VERY reasonable :p . I was told by a few ppl if I add my mum to my policy then I will get it even cheaper, so I rang up today to ammend the quote, and see what it comes out as and they tell me yesterday's quote was invalid. It will actually cost me 1389 and adding my mum will not make a difference.

So what can I do? I'm seriously hacked off, one min its 1100 then its 1400, how can they suddenly change the quote and not provide me with a reason why?? A mistake was made but they wont tell me what.

Can anyone think of any other companies I can try? as i said 20 years old 0 n/c/b 0 accidents that were my fault.

It should be the same price as a 1.8GTI golf.

    Help!!!

    Con

Roccos suck anyway, get a golf instead ;)

I dont understand why your insurance is so high. I've had 2 crashes, and my insurance is cheaper on a modified mk2 16v! do you live in a war-zone?

I got a quote from Adrian Flux for a 3rd Gen Mazda RX-7 (280bhp), and they quoted me 1000 fully comp. I thought that was excellent for a 23 year old with 2 years NCB. I then decided to move the Golf from HiC to Flux, and knew that I could get rid of the Golf at some point and replace it with the RX-7, but when I get closer to buying one, I phoned again to get another quote from Flux and it's 2500 [:x][:x][:x][:x] Where the f**k did the extra 1500 come from.

I would not recommend Flux to anyone, they are rubbish, they randomly make quotes up which can change within hours. They are SO full of BS (even more than the other insurers).

Stick with HiC m8, my only complaint with them was that they were always busy and it was hard to get through to them sometimes.

    Cheers

    Jamie

Dude I cannot stick with HIC, they won't insure me on a 1.8i rocco or a golf.
