Servicing a Toledo and Altea..

    Gang , I've to service my mates '08 Altea and '05 Toledo , both 1.9TDI , how do I reset the service indicator?[:$]

    1. Press and Hold the trip reset button in
    2. Turn on the ignition on (do not start the car though)
    3. Turn the trip button to the right and hold for about 5 secs.
    4. Release the trip button and switch ignition off.
    5. Start car, Service indicator should now be gone

    this should work...

    press the trip reset button and hold it in while turning the ignition on
    then turn left/right (for days remaining/spanner) and hold the button for ~ 2 seconds until reset to 0 is indicated
    - turn ignition off

    next time igniting the service indicator should be gone.
