Could someone confirm that I have enough parts to Tackle this conversion at the weekend?

Standard Mk3 16v Gti with all factory sensors and plugs.

    Ms1 V3 as described here

    DIYautotune Harness

    Pug 4 pole coilpack.

Map for stock VW 2.0 16v from here

Will use this map only because I need to use the car every day and will only use until I can get a wideband and a rolling road session.

    Many thanks,

    Matt.

A few extra bits and pieces

    • Fresh set of hex Inner CV bolts and a good torx bit
    • Heat shrink, soldering iron and wire tidy stuff
    • Spade bits, 'brown' ground wire and terminals
    • Reno Water Temp, knock and CPS sensors
    • Reno Fuel rail connections
    • Silicon vacuum hoses and connectors
    • Reno water pump and housing gasket, bottom flange, head coolant flanges and oil cooler hoses.
    • Spare torx and hex bolts

All links Nige put up are all good but I will still summarize this for you and all reading.

    • ECU MS1 V3 ex or MS2 V3 ex ( both come with 250kPa MAP sensor)
    • Reuse all engine sensors except dizzy cam phase sensor.
    • T-mount ( duff's) dizzy blank plate.
    • 4 pole Sagem or Ford Sigma 1.25-1.6l Bosch coil pack (works with ABF plug leads). Fit coil pack to ensure leads can work in OE plug lead holder.
    • Build loom to connect to OE fusebox to access Digifant relay, fuel pump relay trigger and output, KL15, direct earth to battery and the T28a plug on the engine. You can try other methods but this has been the most robust way for me as if the vehicle were OEM fitted aka fit and forget)
    • Tuner Studio engine calibration software if doing it yourself.
    • In car wideband lambda reader if mapping yourself, from AEM, Tech edge, innovate etc.

Note, I would be wary of copying the maps in your new set up. Further 24S firmware is old and is probably for the wrong engine config.

    Er...?

    Only voltage?

Must be something wired in wrong. signal to ECU pin 24 on middle pin of CKS, earth from ECU 7-11 on pin 3 of CKS and TPS ref of 5v on pin 1 CKS.
Unless I am missing something that should work.

May have to pop over when I get a chance.

I'm still getting no rpm, I've double checked the ecu mods I've checked the crank sensor for voltage and signal with a multi meter but still nothing!

Get the ECU to me and I can try it on my own car to see what is wrong with the box if any.
Then your car will be issue.
