If it must be a 16v then get the 1.8.

    That's because you're a weido Roy!

Corrados aregrowing on me, only driven two and for short distances so can't say if I prefer the drive. Drove a 16v one and was a little underwhelmed to be honest but I guess it's personal choice

I used to drive my friends VR a fair bit, I would buy one just for the noise and the spoiler

Loving looking cars, but I would take my time and hunt out a good one there is an awful lot of crap ones about

'rado are quite nice...i just know i'd buy a celica instead if i wanted an early '90's fwd coupe though.

I may be tempted to agree with acf8181 even if i own a corrado. I used to drive a 95 celica was v nice, and i do like the shape before too. a plus point is the airbag and abs on all cars (mabe be wrong but at least its an option)

my reason is they feel a lot newer inside...i also know the 2.0 16v 3sge is a cracker of an engine, i have one in my mr2!

i suspect the 'rado handles better than the gen6 celica ('94 on), prob even with the gen5

Have driven two 16V and decided no way to anything other than a G60 or VR

Was very disappointed. Long live my old MK2 8V that I always keep alongside everything else I have owned and keep going back to!

I have just changed from a mk2 16v with a 2.0l engine to a standard 2.0l 16v corrado. The corrado is so slow compared to the golf but get it on a little back road and it will urine all over the golf as it goes round corners.
They are not built as well as the golf, the early ones fall to bits, later ones a bit better.
Dont know how you can compare one to a celica!!A celica look poo and inside is just 100% jap crap.
