Hi all, Can the slam panel be removed without removing big bumpers? I have read conflicting opinions!?? Some say big bumpers need removing whilst other say otherwise. Thanks in advance
once the grille is off, you can access all the bolts for the slam panel up top. then theres only 1 more at the bottom to the front engine carrier you can get to from underneath. then it just lifts out https://www.vwvortex.com/threads/ev...hts-grilles-and-core-supports-no-56k.3305452/
I removed my slam panel without removing my big bumpers. As I recall the main issue was the central bolt at the bottom of the slam panel is behind the middle air intake splitter. It was rusted in and a bit of a PITA to get undone.
