I can't get my golf to idle quickly enough! I've tried adjusting the idle screw, which brings the idle high enough; but a couple of days later, the thing's trying to idle at 300rpm again which does my engine mounts and dashboard no good at all! This is at all ranges of engine temperature - there isn't much difference when cold. She idles smoothly and goes well.Is this a common problem that someone can advise on?
