Hi, My Mk1 Gti is pretty sluggish on start up. I need to keep the starter motor going for a while before it fires. Once started the battery light will stay on until i rev the engine up. This seems to suggest that I have problem in the battery/alternator/starter motor area. Would anyone be able to tell me how you can test these components for proper function? Any hints/advice would be great. cheers
