my recent purchase a mk1 gti golf cabriolet has started to smell of petrol and I have been underneath it to take a look. The leak is coming from what seems to be the hoses from the suction return lines into the tank, has anybody lowered a mk 1 golf fuel tank without dropping the rear suspension as I might be able to inspect and replace them if I can gain a little movement. I can take the whole lot out but was hoping not to. Any helpful suggestions would be great.
