Smoovin bumper!!!! (its been done... pic)

    I'm gettin some R32 style lights with integrated indicators in em for my MK3 Golf, and wanna know what needs to be done to lose the indicators of the bumpers, for a smoov look? New bumper...or get a bodyshop to do some work on my standard one?

    Also what do you guys/gals think of this mod?

    looks good =)

    from reading the PVW rallte feature looks like they lastic welded a plate over the old holes and then used filler etc to build up a smooth finish :)

    Already have a bodyshop...the guy there has done my front and rear spoilers, and next wed he;s re-spraying the passenger side of the car!

    Mope. Mines a cabriolet. But my bumper looks better because ive taken the line out too so its super smooth! :p

    That is a cabriolet, its the black westside one on Borbet A's.

    Its Mine. ;)

    Take a look on the Westside site in the folder westside cars fro some more pics.

    2 ways of doing it.

    1.Plastic weld the holes skim of filler prime and paint

    2.The way I did it, was to use wire mesh reinforced with Fibre glass and carbon fibre filler, and then a smooth layer of filler skimed over the top. All finished up with a plastsied primer and paint and laquer to help with flexing.

    Hmm. just dident look like a cab.

    A tip for you is to use the foam expanding stuff that builders use. Stuff that in the holes and fibre glass over it. Filler. Primer. Job done! :)
