Some garden flower photos

    Every so often I dash round the parent's garden wiv a camera, zap about 100 shots, bin 80% of them and get the rest printed, via www.photobox.co.uk who seem to do a top service - and send them as a pressie.

    Canon Powershot S2 IS, non SLR, compacty thing, with 12 x zoom, 48 max (whilst losing resolution):

    Don't ask me what any of them are btw - they don't have VW part numbers :lol:

    They are blooming (get it ;) ) good pictures for a compact digital camera.

    my mates GF has a camera similar to that but sony cybershot - think they are the best you can get before you go slr (im not to hot on camera's either!!)

    the photo's it takes are incredible.

    Don't you feel a bit of a pansy running round taking picture's of flowers?? [:$] :lol:

    Not really - it keeps them happy. Makes for a peaceful life!

    Rest of the time, it takes pics of cars!

    1) mallow
    2) penstemon <sp?>
    3) looks like periwinkle flower, but not in a bunch like that, so don't know
    4) Japanese anemone
    5) iris
    6) not sure, poss foxtails
    7) grape hyacinth
    8) narcissus
    9) water lily leaf
    10) camelia
    11) primula
    12) tulip

    Nice photos, and it looks as though your parents have a lovely garden throughout most of the year.

    Ah, pass on most Stella - deffo a tulip and water lilly there. Camelia and primula sounds like familiar babble!

    Anyway, it keeps them busy!

    Some cracking pictures you have there, Chris.
    I'm just saving some money for a macro lens. I've captured a few on my regular lens which I will post when a few other users show me their feminine side too. ;)
