Taken on a recent trip to the Black Mountains with a naff Canon Powershot 3.2 mp, the only manual control it has is allowing +/- 2 stops exposure, I hate it's lack of flexability & look forward to being able to afford a DSLR soon

My apologies for the offensive nature of the content of the last shot

Good photos - especially given the limitations of the camera. (I'll forgive you the 'offensive' one! )

I especially like the falling down wall - nice use of B&W, too.

(I had an early Canon Ixus and thought it was great at the time. Good camera in its day, I suppose. I now have a 7mp Ixus and it's got a lot more controls, and I occasionally use it when son pinches my SLR. So frustratingly slow, though, in comparison.)

Thank you Stella, I'm flattered having seen your work.

TBH I'm torn between waiting til I can afford a DSLR & buying one of those Fuji Finepix jobbies with the 10x zoom, my Mum has one & it is nearly as flexible as an SLR & at least 100 cheaper.

I do still have a Nikon 35mm SLR but never use it anymore[:$]

Yes, I gave my Canon A1 away, as it never got used any more. I'm trying to justify spending 900 on a Nikon D300, although this Fuji S5 is a very good price at less than half of the cost of the Nikon. Plus, it takes Nikon-fit lenses. Decisions, decisions ..................

You should write a little note to Santa! :)

And thank you for the compliment [:$]
