So the headlight stopped working on my Superb, so I changed the bulb, nothing. Okay. Fuse it fine so it must be the Ballast. To get to the ballast? Undo one half of the bumper and take the headlight out. No problem. Well.. until some bodge lash up **** had been there.. Both bolts holding the wing to the bumper, knackered. Then undo the headlight… I HATE PEOPLE!! So now I need a new headlight, I’ve replaced the two knackered bolts and a new ballast and it works, but FFS. Why can’t people just do stuff properly? *edit turns out you can buy repair tabs, which will be handy…
I am surprised they don’t sell to normal customers anymore…few years ago I used to walk in Colindale branch and every member of staff used to work before in euro car parts wembley ! They knew me well !
Tps let me down during the first wave, and have been quite unhelpful since, have got stuff via my mate in local garage from them. Not like the local branch in Somerset I used previously, they were helpful and accommodating. Suppose its the changed world now But as @Tristan says, people are the problem, we all have to do things however we can to get out of a situation temporarily, but put it right after, hopefully.
You can get the repair tabs off eBay but OEM quality will be better. You'll need all the mounting holes to be present so you can attach them.
