I like those :) lovely moody lighting.

Is the Lumix a compact? If so, that makes the pics more impressive!

Aye, its a 10 times zoom which the photos were taken at, the other 1 is where i was stood.
Its an 8.1 meg camera, the model up from it is a 10 meg, and won the gadget show compact of the year.

nice pics, love the first one. That lumix is a great digi, wish I had bought that for my GF rather than the rather hit and miss olympus 790SW....

never done surfing, might give it a go next summer when im on holiday

I would love a Lumix, can't beat a Leica lens like they have on such a compact camera. Very impressive photos, it looks quite nice down there.

i wish i'd have held the camera straight for this one!

After snapping my mast i came in and took some pics of my friend who was coping far better than me in the conditions - easily mast high (4m) closed out waves and overpowered on our smallest sails

Easily straightened in Photoshop. (Having said that, I don't have PS on this PC, so did it by eye in Elements).

From memory, in Photoshop, click and hold your mouse over the Eyedropper tool and some other tools will 'fly out'. Select the little ruler, than click and drag it over the wonky horizon (it also works with wonky uprights), then go to
Image/Rotate canvas/Arbitary - then it will straighten the picture so that the horizon is level.

Then you just need to crop the edges a bit.

Makes a big improvement, particularly with wonky sea/lakes.
