I'd heard about this whilst at the 'Ring in July. Marcel Tiemann, one of the regular Porsche winners in the 'Ring 24 hour, was punted off whilst racing an Audi at Imola.

The move to the left looks a bit strange to say the least. Problem is, big tangental impact, head injury and in a coma for weeks, with ongoing eye and balance problems.

Common view is it was totally deliberate - history between the two of them & it was rumoured that Lancelotti had warned Tiemann he was going to take him off.

Tiemann posts at Christmas on his website, it's game over:

Not sure what if anything has been done about it. Utterly stinks [:x]

That looks like a blatant push to the left when any normal manouvre would be in the opposite direction. Certainy not a vehicle fault as he recovered it soon enough. Look at the last view from the head of the pack back and at 0:35/36 he seems to not only turn out, but accelerate.

    Foul play IMO.

Quite a sickening move. You can only feel for the man when you read his blog, Very sad indeed. Apparently, there is some kind of policing, as someone suggested, why have they not interviened?
