Spark plug colour

Hi, after some small adjustments this is where I'm at with plug colour after a 20 mile drive.
Does this look right,and why the soot on the base ring.thanks

Are they new plugs or what has been ran in it as you set it up?

Looks ok if not a bit sooty but could be from build up from wrong setup

 

They been in a while done a few hundred miles on these.the bottom bit was about what I was expecting.just not the
Sooty bit.

 

Poor tune or fuel?
White and soot could be poor combustion
