When i bought my bk racing alloys seond hand they came with vauxahll spiggot rings which just about fitted to the car centre bore on vw is 57mm and vauhall is 56.5mm so only 5 mils difference.

They are fitted on the car and flush with hubs so is this dangerous?

they will probably be safe but they may not centre properly and as such will give a vibration like an out of balance wheel. I'd be tempted to get the rings you have turned out to the correct size.

If the spigot`s fit over you hub`s you`ll be ok, vw are 57mm and vaux are 56mm, cold take a smidgin of the rings with a stanley knife if they`re too tight..

They do fit over with a bit of wiggling and once the wheel bolts are tight they wheels are sitting flush with the hubs.

Just that i gotta bit of wobble on front but maybe the wheels just need balancing, ill get them blancened up tomorow and see if this make a difference.

The width of the rings will be the same, just the centre bore diameter will be different so you`ll be fine as they are. If you get them to see how far out the wheels are out with the original weights on you`ll know staight away if balancing is the problem.

0.5mm of a difference which equates to .25mm a side difference which is easily removed.
