i have refurbed a couple of sets of splitties, mainly i deal with unsplit rims, but i have no problems with them, lots of places won't touch them due to the ammount of work involved. this is a set i did that were so oxidised that the alloy started turning to white powder

get a few prices and let me know what you've been quoted

Lepsons in gillingham did my BBS splits, with an unlaquered polished lip. I am finding it a bit of a pain in the bad weather to keep the lip shiney though.

Won't be cheap though, they charge 25 EACH rim just to split and rebuild them (I did it myself). Polishing the whole rim will be quite a lot also.

But hey, u can try them and see what they say. They are in kent.

It really is the case of u get what u pay for!

I was hoping to get it cheaper that 100 per wheel but i think your right with the "You get what you pay for" atitude.

The trouble is that buy the time i have had them polished and brought new center caps they will stand me in about 1k!!! :o That is a lot of money, even for mint condition Oz Turbo's!!!

please tell me what you had done to your wheels that cost 100 each billy bug!! i'd honestly expect the centres polished too for that sort of money. it is true that you pay for what you get(sometimes), but the bigger companies have much bigger overheads and thus charge higher rates. on the quality side of things, almost every single customer of mine is stunned at the quality of my work.
i'd be guessing that you had just the rims of your wheels polished, for that work with me you would have been looking at about 50 - 20 per strip+rebuild, 30 for damage removal and mirror polish, treated and (conditionally) guaranteed for at least 1 year!!

I dont think Billy bugs rims are polished, just the outer lip is. I think they are painted. Could be wrong though. My local place charges 100 each rim to diamond cut the outer rim, and paint the inner piece, including rebuilding. I paid 75 each, as I undid and built them myself.
