Standing 1/4 for an Audi A4 1.8t

    Which A4 are you interested in?

    The B5, B6, B7? The B7 being the lastest one and the one in my sig is the B5.

    Well its kind of maybe at the moment, depends on job etc. If I get a
    job where I'll be travelling lots and get a car allowance i'll look
    into it then. Might have to run a crappy diesel 406 / vectra or
    something just to get the cash together. Am after something a bit
    newer:)

    thats for 2.8 non quattro

    not sure about 1/4m on other models

    ok, just tracked down a review for th 97 a4 2.8 quattro
    vital stats are :

    pwr=193ps, torque=207Ib/ft
    0-60=7s
    top =140
    1/4 mile=15.4@93mph
    30-70=7.1s
    pwr/weight ratio=123ps/tonne
    weight=1570kg
    touring cons=25mpg

    how come the 2.8 engine in the quattro produces 193bhp? thought the equivalent mk3 had 170-odd. maybe they tweaked a few things?

    Audi engine isn't a VR6 .. is it?

    More of a traditional V6 (not narrow angle)

    Not with only 193 bhp I hope...

    S4 is the V6 bi-turbo :)

    2.8 V6 (90 degree vee), i.e. two cylinder heads, 5 valves per cylinder :)

    The S4 has variable valve timing, but not sure if the 2.8 came with that as well...
