You're gonna have to wait approx 4 weeks to get it into Stealth, they're a bit on the busy side at then moment! :p

A mate booked his car in with them, Vince said it was approx 3-4 weeks.

My Dad`s mk2 GTi needs a tune up and as I live 15mins from Stealth he asked if I could take it in for him. I rang Stealth last Thursday, I`m going in Wednesday coming..

Whats this about a 4wk wait?

    Where do you live

I'd say Grahaem at TSR is top notch on the 16V front.

Done a pretty good job on mine

as alexc says i had my mk1 booked in for a vibration that all other companies that i took my car to couldn't fix. i had this happening to my car for the 5 years i've owned it.

he sorted out the problem in 20 minutes.

vince is an excellent engineer and really knows his stuff. i highly recommend him and Stealth, and will be using him for any big future work on both my mk1 and my mk4.

As long as it 'manages' to keep going without me ever having to open the bonet then I'll be happy. :)

What I mean is, the mk3 doesn't have any adjustments as a mk2 does, which can be tweaked to give more power.

Vince has VAG-COM which reads off any fault codes during diagnostics for the later cars.

One instance is on the VR6s if the cam sensor is faulty, you lose 20bhp [8(]

Worth having a rolling road 'diagnostic check' to see if there are any problems that you aren't aware of.

Firstly apologies for resurrecting such an old thread [:$]but this has me intrigued. What can they do for a Mk3? I`m just about about to have a 4 branch manifold fitted giving me completea S/S system, also the car has a flat spot around 3k revs. I wantedto have it RRed, not wanting or expecting big power gains, just want everything to be running smoothly. Will a session on the RR pull everything together and iron out the flat spot or will it just provide a diagnostic of what`s wrong. Forgive my ignorance on this matter and thanks for any info.

A session on the RR at Stealth is a good idea. The dynoplot will highlight any flat spots & Vince should be able to diagnose any faults...& fix it if it is something simple..

Vince is well reknowned for setting up K-Jet 16v engines to give their best, but should be able to optimize any VW you throw at him ;)
