Anyone know of a good replacement wheel for my mk3 GTI?
I'd like a smaller wheel but i'd really like to keep the airbag working if poss. Is this an option?

What are the VR6 ones like compared to the GTI?
Or can you suggest an aftermarket one that i can still use my airbag in

    cheers

you could get one out of a mk3.5 cabrio...it'll fit yours, but looks identical to a mkIV one (which won't fit). gonna cost lots and you need to get it fitted professionally.

i'd imagine you have the same wheel as a vr6.

apart from that you can't do anything if you wanna keep the airbag.

Why do you have to get it fitted professionally? Surely it's just the same as removing the standard airbag wheel and refitting it?

without it going off in ya face or damaging it in any way

stick with your steering wheel. its just something you use to steer the car

they're not overly sensitive.. isn't the sensor to set them off in the front panel??

there's a procedure to follow where you disconnect the battery for a set period of time and the airbag discharges and you can disconnect it and replace with your new one!
