    Hey all,

I have a bit of a problem with my accelerator pedal... when i take my foot off it, it is very slow to return back up to the normal position. Obviously this could be quite dangerous as the revs are kept up after i have taken my foot off the pedal. What could be the cause of this? Any simple fixes?

    Cheers,

    Tom

maybe a frayed cable...take the cable off both ends and check the throttle pedal and linkage work as they should, then see if the cable moves freely

check the throttle itself opens and closes smoothly as that could be covered in crap from the breather.

if that moves nicely then it has to be the cable.

The exact same thing happened with my clutch pedal recently, turned out the cable was frayed around the bulk head hole. Luckily it's easy to replace those cables.
