Posted in the electrical section but I've slept on it and decided it may be worth a shot here too. Got strange missfire on a 1.8 VW T4 Transporter. Code PD. Engine is a close relation to the basic Golf Driver - early 90's. Seems to intermittently lose one piston, particularly when accelerating. All the electrical bits are brand new - coil, leads, distributer cap, rotor arm and now plugs. problem first surfaced on the motorway where it just seemed to lose power for a minute and then kicked back in again. It now seems to be a lot more permanent but still on an off if that makes sense. I'm going to get a plug tester to see if I'm getting a consistent spark but otherwise I'm stuck. Any thoughts?
