just bought a mk1 gti on the original p-slot wheels, while looking closer i noticed the centre caps are actually metal!! ive never seen this before, the have the pirelli engraving and look the same but evryother set ive seen are plastic? any ideas?
hi mk1. ive just read that thread. mine are the same as yours, there 14" have 8 p's and the same caps. also they dont have the vw part numbers on them? strange as mine is a red mk1 just like yours. would like to get to the bottom of this mystery, im guessing they were on offer as an aftermarket wheel through pirelli, but why the caps would differ i dont know, also the gap on the p to the rim is more like 13mm on mine, (geek)!
yep after market alloys but still rare,ive not come accross a set of the 14" ones before can you post a pic?
yes they have, in one of the p's. they are definately same as yours. also have a set of original mk1 p slots so gonna put them together and see which look best.
