I have my nice slow 1400 polo as you can see from the pic which is standard. I had one crash which i have to put down that i was at fault even though i wasnt but i didnt have any witnesses. I have no driving convictions. The cheapes insurance quote i can get on my car is 1500. There are 2 other lads i know, both have had an "at fault" crash and both have 3 points. One of them is 6 months younger than me and the other a year younger. One has an S reg 2.0 8v seat ibiza GTI and the other has an H reg wolfsburg edition mk2 golf gti modded up to 185bhp. They insure their cars for 900 quid a piece. ive treid there insurance companies plus others, why cant i insure a 1400 for less than that for god sake!

Absolutely sucks mate. Can't you even get a good deal from the likes of HIC or Adrian Flux? Or Direct Line for that matter, who are pretty good with unmodified cars?

give admiral a shout, they are great for un modified cars, they gave me a quote that was half the price of your "regular" insurance companies.

We have a Same motor insured for a third you being asked!

younger sister down as the main driver (as she uses it)
NO driving convictions/points, kept in a student area!!

sounds a lot of money, but it does depend on the nature of the bump, your telling them about [:$]

Can't remember the company, you need to shop around!

Presume you've tried admiral/elephant and their other company? They were the only ones who would insure me with my horrendous record, and still came out reasonable......
