Stuttering Driver

Hi,

My driver (with weber) has been in storage for a yr now after me owning and driving the 3 previous to that.

When u start it now it has a missfire when it tries to pick up once it has picked up it hold its revs fine.

Nothing has been changed since off the rd. what could this be?

Give the carb a good clean! Check the gasket between the carb and the manifold - that can sometimes be cracked.

is that petrol a year old?!??! IRC petrol goes off doesnt it? It could be that once you have new fuel in there it will run better.

There's of course all the other things like checking/cleaning sparks, leads and dizzy cap etc etc

Anyone else suggest anything?

 

I'd go with a carb clean too and take it from there tbh.....

 

just clean every thing like has been said, take the jets out and give them a blow out, just make sure its all fine,


may just need a good run and maybe a tune up to get it running right,
