I'm looking for a submersible water pump.

    It needs a 1" outlet.
Needs to run off 12v DC.
Needs a head of max 6 metres.
Ideally to be narrow, with as small a diameter as possible.
Flow rate does not need to be great but does need to be accurate for the height it's pumping to. I would estimate 50L/hour average (not max) as it needs to lift up to 400L over the course of a day.
My preference is towards a lower wattage unit than high flow rate.

I've tried googling but can't really find anything that suits my requirements.

Well, I`m afraid you`re pretty much f*cked then...

  3. could you use an inverter to step up to 240v ac? that might broaden the range a bit. otherwise try windandsun.co.uk, they specialise in renewable energy stuff, they do some good 12v pumps.

Not really keen on going upto 240v ac but that site's got some useful stuff.
    cheers.

Just an old college project I'd stuck on the back burner for a year.
Got a spec and want to keep cost below approx 250 for a 4 year payback.

Keeps me mind active and means I don't forget everything I didn't learn.[:$]
