    Hi all,

Having not even finished my 16v convo i am thinking of getting another scirocco to put a tdi into.

My question is how good is the tdi out of a mk3? can it be tuned - im not after mega power, rather a nice economical motor with a bit of poke. Will this suit?

    any other pointers [:D]

it's a good reliable unit, not too difficult get in and running, most I've seen out of a mk 3 unit was about 230BHP

yes 230! it was at the top of the mk 2 drag strip league table in PVW for ages.
with minor tuning 120 BHP is available out of it.
main thing is to get a decent unit and as much from the mk 3 as possible, and search though tdiclub.com

120hp would be about right for a nice nippy motor with good economy and driveabitlity.

first thing is to find a mk3 i guess. Maybe a corrado would be a better car to take the mk3 engine as teh fusebox would me ce2 based.
