Ive just fitted a new temperature sender to a fabia vrs following a fault where the CEL light comes on and the glowplug light takes an age to go out. i tried to clear the code via VCDS lite but it just pops back up again. ive checked the connections and the part is OEM but the fault remains. any ideas?
Any idea of the code, or if its the right temp sender you fitted? most do have just the one on the coolant flange housing - 4 pin?
the code is 17664 - engine ccolant temp sensor (g62) open or short to plus P1256-35-10- --intermittent 2 pin grey sensor, theres only one sensor on this engine ive just tried clearing it again..disconnecting then reconnecting sensor the code just keeps popping up!
