    Hi,

I have a 2005(b7) Audi A4 quattro that has developed a flat spot at around 4500rpm. I haven't had a chance to plug the car in and see if I've got any codes yet. Has anyone had this problem?

    Thanks

    Tim

It may be worth first tanking it with good petrol, then re-setting the self-learning ECU, by clearing the fault codes or disconnecting the battery for a bit. Then check for new codes if it the flat spot comes back.

I've came across one of these which had flat spot up the rev range which resulted in stored faulted relating to boost pressure control which ended up being the boost control valve

scan with this age car is first point of call - the ECU is very smart!
