    What clifford have you got?

Why dont you self fit, then get the alarm serviced and the place you take it tell them that it was fitted when you got the car and you don't hyave a vsib cert and they will issue you with one

Its a concept50, too old to have cat 1 status, got it from Studweiser a good few years ago now.

Shame, cos it gives the same level of security as a cat1 :thumbd:

It'd have to be a self fit, cos due to the dash conversion etc, i dont want random monkeys pokin about in the wiring ;)

cat one alarms cannot and should notbe diy fitted the whole point of it is that it is fitted by a trained professional and the dealer is recognised by the insurance company

i did not say it is not possible but you can not issue a certificate as you are not an approved fitter or a dealer

I did wonder that I can get someone to install a basic Cat 1 imobiliser, the only difference is that it won't have the certificate. The certified installation is more than the imobiliser itself?!?!

Difficulty rating of fitting a basic imobiliser peeps? Not quiet happy with just a Metro-stoplock at the moment!
