OMG I forgot how amazing this album is....bought it in '96 or whenever it was it came out, we used to cover a couple of their songs in the band I was in at the time. Anyway stuck the CD on this morning and it's definately got to be one of my all time top 10 albums.
I listened to it yesterday for the 1st time in about 4 years and its amazing...Id started playing fake plastic trees on acoustic and thought...'Im going to listen to that LP' and I did. and it rocked.
I just put it in my car a couple of weeks ago after not listening to it for a few years, brilliant album I don't like fake plastic trees tho
A superb album Every tune is spot on.. got a few of the videos on my PC as well I've had it pretty much since it came out.. got all of the other studio albums as well; they're all sweet
put it on there after reading this thread for first time in about 6 years... utterly superb brings back some memories from first year at uni - i knew there was a reason i didn't listen to it... baby's got the beeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeendzzzzzzzz Edited by: darrynK
I thought I was the only one who thought that, glad to know there's others who agree. Such a shame, the bends and ok computer are 2 of the best albums i own
only one? i thought feeling was mutually shared kid a was such a big disappointment - i waited years on it too
It takes some time to get into.. IMO OK Computer is their weakest album (Still good, though) they went a bit more abstract after that, but I repsect them for it. Think of how many other bands have got as close to mainstream success as they did with OK computer, only to bow down and start producing watered down, chart pleasing gash Have a listen to some of their later stuff like "Dollars and Cents", "Pyramid Song" and "There there".. And if you don't like the un-nerving but strangely warm and comforting strains of "Everything in it's right place" then there's something wrong with you
