Just spotted outside Jar Bar in downtown Macclesfield, a fantastic blue V10 Audi S8 with the reg number......get this......AUD1 Surely this belongs to Audi themselves? Ave it Rob
I think it is/was owned by Manchester Audi at Old Trafford - saw it on a yellow TT they had among other things... i'm going back a good while now.
I first saw that plate on an A8 in 1994 when I worked for Appleyard Landrover in Leeds. I thought that it was a showroom plate at first. I believe that it was owned by the one of the group whom owned the dealerships? So yes, I can vouch for it too
have seen this on chester road heading into manchester near old trafford football ground, 3 or 4 times in the last 6 months even had a pic on my phone, till the phone crashed, audi is only 2 mins up the road so I would say yep belongs to the someone at the dealers.....
Maybe I can shed a bit of light on this one, It is owned by Audi Uk, and it used to be given to the dealership who records the best sales figures throughout the year, I came across it when Ian Skelly ( Main Audi/VW dealer) up here in Glasgow, not only had Aud1 but VW1 as well, and at the same time. Can't comment on VW1, as I took it to be owned by Ian Skelly himself.
