So with the recent block of all Photobucket images, I thought I'd make a little guide to show the less technical users how to use it.

I've figured that the mobile site is awful, so just switch to desktop mode on whatever device you use.

Click me to go to IMGUR.

So you'll need to make an account, this is pretty easy and self explanitary (I hope).

Once that is done you'll be taken to this screen:

You'll want to hover over your username and then select image, or albums if you would like to create an album:

Which will take you to this screen:

From here you can select, the folder you want to add the image too:

Once here you can select the size of the image, for forums i've found that "1024x768" is perfect.

Then it's as simple as dropping your photo's onto the page, or you can click the "Add images" button:

When you've uploaded the pictures you want, click on it and then you'll be faced with this:

You'll want to click copy on "BB Code" and then paste it into the forum.

    That's it. Simples!

Ah, I've never done it that way, I just paste the BBcode link in. I'll pop that in now. Thanks

The downside to this is you still need to host them separately for use on other forums. I only use this for my build threads.
I use the option to save them on here if I'm doing anything else.

You would do that anyway, I think he means, if you're using this forum then you'll click that and you'll never have problems losing them on this forum.

You're correct, I thought he was referring to the image upload rather than linking.

I've taken to using the direct upload option at the bottom of the page, it's very easy.
