were i was at with the mk2 before i put it on the wall (07/30/2015) ALL set and ready for Road Atlanta tomorrow Got the Swif Springs and assembled. Getting alignment . All ready for track tomorrow will post results of new suspension .. With this new struts /springs , new alignment with more negative camber and all the weight reduction... The car literally been TRANSFORMED !!!! i love the way it drives now . even with super stiff springs on the street, feels soo glued to the ground The real test will be tomorrow!!:cool:opcorn:
(08/14/2015) OK Guys, Finally got some time to type about Road Atlanta Trackday... The Good news: Car was extremely fast , pretty lively in the rear. The new suspension felt awesome i think i know how to make a mk2 move really well on track now:cool::cool: ready for first session The bad: After little over 10min .. my day was ruined (2015) Car was doing very well.!! this was all driver error:thumbdown: i let my ego get in the way of my driving . As i was still testing the car , i should never had passed that Very fast Nissan. My problem is that im fearless .. My fault! i have learned the hard way. and yes i have learned from this mistake. Today ,JAN 22nd 2017 SO LOOKING BACK AT THE VIDEO.aFTER ATTENDING RACING SCHOOL AND MORE SEAT TIME , IM SURPRISED I LASTED THAT LONG ON THAT LAST LAP . WOW ,I DEFNELLY DID NOT HAVE ENOUGH EXPERIENCE TO BE DRIVING THAT FAST. living and learning ...
That golf is quick! Hope you was alright after the crash The Audi looks good though. I wouldn't mind some sponsors lol
Nice work Personally I'd prefer "X" door bars for safety. Why did you choose a heavy 4 Dr saloon after the mk2?
thanks man. and yeah i was just fine . bruised ego only I would perfer x bars as well. However... first, I would need a full blown cage to make the x bars more weight , more material. Second ,i want to drive the car on the street in on weekends and last... The cage was free . Why the quattro ? I wanted to try something different and its all awd !
