I was up late the other night with some friends after evening of socialising and spotted the moon looking awesome. I remembered this thread, so got the camera out and took a few photos. These were taken hand held with the 7D, a 1.4 extender and the 100-400L. By this time i was on my 2nd bottle of white and did my best with the manual focusing. My eye sight isn’t the best anyway hence i normally use the centre auto focusing point to do most of my shooting but with the extender it doesn’t work. I had the crop the image by quite a bit but think it’s just about passable and not bad for hand held at a 800mm. I going to try again later this week with a tripod and sober, but was still pleased with my first try.
