what company does laid up cover?

not gonna be using the vr6 for a while so don't really wanna have to insure it, but want insurance for if it gets stolen opr the garage gets burnt down.

 

only thing you could get i would have thought is a classic policy that's if your over 25.

or just find the cheapest TPFT

 

See about adding it to house contents policy instead

the best place, and i think only place, is Adrian Flux. Very good prices, and they do laid up cover for newer cars, wheras most places only do classics!

they are insured for fire, theft, and you can also add accidnetal damage to if you need it.

Adrian Flux sorted laid up cover on the Mk3 16v, until I get my licence back in february. Only cost me 50 for the year - but I have to make sure it's kept in a locked garage.

 

I had laid up cover on my old Beetle through HIC. It was only about 60 per year-the car was only valued at about 1750 though... Nearly had to use the insurance as well when my lodgers car was burnt out right outside my garage! Luckily my car was unscathed though...
