I'm getting bored with the modern car thing and have my '77 Mk1 fully rebuilt and smoothed in the garage, just waiting for my lazy ass to go out and paint it in Aussie Ford XR8 deep purple :p Rear guards are rolled, scuttle smoothed etc etc. It's quite a minter but I have no 'performance' bits for it. I'm thinking of selling the SEAT as it just bores me a bit, even with the pretty mad engine. If I do that, I'll have enough money to go to town on the Mk1 and also have access to another ABF SEAT, which my mate crashed, so I could pinch the motor, brakes, etc etc. What do you guys reckon - could I live with crap headlights, wipers and no leccy BS... I reckon I can :)

I quite like the Seat TBH. The engine in your car would be stupidly mental in a Mk1 [:D]

You won't be bored with a standard ABF Mk1 tho ;)

Yeah, I know my motor would be mad in a Mk1 - probably too mad for the cops down here

I've been in a KR and PL powered Mk1 and a 2E 2.0 8v and all went really well, so I imagine a lightly modded ABF would go quite well.

Into the SEAT...? Well I did think a 20vT would be EASY seeing I already have an 02A and hyd. clutch but finding the motor WON'T be easy down here [:s]

Plus, I have no money to do the swap anyway, which is kind of important
