Was out driving today & pulled out of a junction sharply..

4500rpm change to second, clutch up.....BANG! No drive but lots of clattering noises.... [:^(]

Managed to get the car off the road & jacked it up for a look. Expected to see a big hole in the gearbox! [:s]

The NSF driveshaft had become disconnected at the flange where it joins the gearbox. Looks like the bolts had just come loose!! [:$] Loads of grease everywhere, but managed to do a few of the bolts up handtight & luckily it limped home ok..

2 of the spline drive bolts are dead (bent/mashed) but apart from that, no permanent damage!!!

    Lucky me!! [:D]

Just glad it doesnt appear to have done anything more serious than knacker a couple of bolts............

Only check tightened them about 2 months ago... [:s]

Maybe the trackday caused them to slacken [8(]
