Throttle Bodies

Do they give more power when open in the engine bay, or enclosed in an airbox?

got to be better in a cold fed airbox, though once the car is rolling it'll do ok for cold air if they are at the front of the head asuming they arent behind the radiator. If they are at the back, I'd bet it'll get more power when boxed no matter what.

Doesn't look like throttle bodies to me.

 

Apparnetly they are in the box thing at the back of the engine, I'd have called those "air intakes" personally since they just look like a standard manifold..

Oh well =)

Yeah, ya probably right as this looks like the standard stuff.


But more importantly...........who cares!

 

enclosed id imagine when liek that, open on a VW (unless its the polo)
