Tinted Windows

so much cheapper this way in it m8 just bit of patience and ur there how did u get on with ur back window was it a mission?????

 

No it was ok, cut the tints out on the outside, then transfered them to the inside. on a mk2 the back window dont have much curve, so it makes life that much easier

 

i was thinkin of doin it myself is it really that easy ide of thought with the window being slightly domed ude get creases, no?...

 

i had mine done on a silver scirocco few years ago light tint also had dark interior which helps cost me 175 quid guy came to my house and took my glass out

 

Does the glass have to be taken out? If so, maybe I could replace the window rubbers at the same time!

 

Is the Law not changing with regards to tinted front windows?

 

The front driver and passenger windows must allow a minimum of 70% light to come through

 

But the backs can be limo..... Think about vans

see u were thinkin bout tinting windows had them done on a car a yeah back told the bloke i want them legal quite annoyed wen i got pulled and ordered to remove them they was not even that dark so watch who does them

 

Did you have to remove the back as well as the front? How dark were they?

 

no just the fronts but made the car look lkie a van the law states that they have to let through a min of 70% light to be legal mine were a very light smoke which u could see perfectly through but they only let through 44% light newer cars have a factory tint on any thing less then i think its 25% light then your car is not allowed to be driven so b careful
