hi, i was given advise from the vwaudi site to ask for help here! ive got a 1996 mk1 seat toledo 1.8 8v, ive done some research and found that there on a mk2 golf base. i want more bhp, im not into spending loads on cams, chips, port polish ect...... im looking to put in a reasonable lump in! but i dunno what fits, thats been held close to the hearts of those who know!! one other q, how generic are the parts between VW and seat? thanks for your time!
should be pretty much the same as modding a golf or jetta mk2 cos I think they're the same floorplan so you could prob go for 2 litre bottom ends or transplants from other models (16v's ?)
The 2.0 16v Toledo they did had the ABF engine in it, 150 bhp Should be able to transplant one out of a mk3 golf or another Toledo without too much hassle
have just got logbook today and found out its not a 1.8, its a 1.6, how bloody quick are these things?????? lol
I've got a tdi one of these,mk2 suspension fits these (something i intend to do at a later date) i know of a 20vt conversion near completion on 1 too!
