i've collected loads of different tool sets and random bits and bobs over the years,
but keep losing them so i need a big tool chest,

would love a snap-on one etc, but im not spending that much, whats good thats cheap, not cheap rubbish but will last,
seen on ebay the sealey stuff but thats actuall american pro stuff which ive seen first hand is poor and flmsey

get a used snap on one rather than a new cheap one. go to halfords feel how flimsy they are and then compare (if you can)to a snap on one, the difference is massive.

i got a top box off my snap on dealer for 100 quid, it had bneen traded in,and he even gave me a new lock and key set for it.

Anything other than Snapon, Facom, Mactools is generally flimsy. Way of the world. But then most people don't need anything more. Don't buy into branding and save your pennies!

ive got a cheap flimsy no brand one. there is a box on top with locking lid and two draws, generic cheapo thing but with careful packing it swallows my gear and i cart it arround all over the place, not failed me yet but then it did spend lastnight in the boot of the mk3 so what state it is in now is anyone's guess

All my stuff is TENG i have a 4 draw roller cabinet 3 draw mid and a 5 or 6 top box as well as a heap of tools from them, used to work in a truck garage and more ladds had TENG than snap on and MAC combines, there is the odd tool that Snap on and MAC make that are blinders but most you are just as well getting TENG also you can go to most wholesalers and get teng alot cheaper.

has anyone tried the RAC ones from argos? as i dont need anything flashy, I have been tempted by a Halfords one, but the money off with a trade card is not massive.
