    Hello guys and gals,

I'm in need of a timing light with advance feature and a burette kit for cc'ing.

What do you recommend? Any experiences good or bad with specific brands?

    cheers

In the past I've bought syringes with scale marks on them from ebay to do CCing. Not as accurate as a proper burette, but probably good enough for working out the CR.

Thanks for the reply mate but i'm really after a better one than this. I don't care about the price, i just want something good that will last. 3/4 of my tools are snap on but i got very bad feedback about their timing lights

Hi Mike, I'm looking for a class A burette and obviously this is because of their accuracy. I don't want to be close but exact. It seems though that i cannot find much info on them in the uk. I even went to the biology/chemistry department of the uni and they don't have any burettes - only flasks and other not helpfull stuff. Too bad, i could borrow one from there forever

I've had this for a few years now. I take good care of it but it's obviously built to take continuous workshop usage.

The detachable leads are great. Easily replaceable if you damage a lead in a moving part.

I tend to hook up all the leads before plugging the gun in.

It's help me diagnose dizzy advance issues and set up dwell angles on the one car I've got that still has points.

Peter - I went for it. Placed my order yesterday. It seems that many people in the US are using this timing light and no one says a bad word about it.
